Requirements
- Create software designs for various components of the Dejavoo Systems products
- Requires 3 or more years of experience in product development specifically
- Responsible for implementing software designs using C++ or C
- Requires development within the Linux environment.
- Required to work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure best possible delivery
- Will be required to work with third-party vendors for various product components and interconnections
- Requires development experience within an embedded environment.
- Demonstrated excellence with C++ required
Multi-tasking and working simultaneous projects a must.
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Location: NY
Reports to: CEO
Point of sale and Transaction Processing company Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Information Officer to lead our technology and engineering team. Qualified candidate will be responsible for It infrastructure, processes, and development.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to create and maintain the necessary technical infrastructure to support the business objectives of the Company.
- Lead the distributed Dejavoo Management team to translate strategic plans into specific actions.
- Develop and achieve approved capital and financial operating plans.
- Ensure achievement of major projects, anticipate developing problems and participate in major problem resolution.
- Work with vendors on key software evaluations and purchases
- Identify and extract patentable work, work with engineers and legal to file patents
- Participate in and contribute to high level strategic discussions as a key member of the executive staff.
- Plan and control departmental staffing, training and development and technical systems and facilities to ensure that they are consistent with the business objectives for the Company.
- Direct the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet the needs of the operating units and management.
- Establish Dejavoo, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
- Administer Dejavoo plans to stay within budgetary guidelines and to contribute to the overall cost-effectiveness of the Company.
- Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.
- Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware and incorporate new developments into future systems of the Company.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, education, experience and ability required.
- Must have 10+ technology experience with at least 5 years in senior executive role (CIO or VP Engineering).
- Must have experience implementing and managing development for Linux operating systems.
- MS in Computer Science (or related field).
- At least 5 years experience working with embedded systems.
- Must have managed offshore teams.
- Must have experience measuring and a successful track record of driving productivity gains.
- Must have experience implementing and managing development for Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrable problem solving skills – ability to solve complex problems in the face of time pressure and resource constraints.
- Experience and understanding in data mining, information retrieval and data analytics technologies will be given special consideration.
- Must have significant technical experience in: . Building of highly scalable applications
- Databases like MySQL and Oracle, the SQL and PL/SQL languages
- Programming languages/environments like C, C++,MORE
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-changing dynamic startup environment.
- Must be a team player.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Point of Sale or transaction process experience is a plus
